We love to come here with my son and families. We always order the same thing, juicy dumplings. Very very good, not too much dough enough juice and well balanced flavors. Spicy oxtail soup and hand pull noodles. Yammmmm

The best soup dumplings in the West San Fernando Valley. Upscale, modern, but still feels family owned. The beef roll was definitely a pleasant surprise. Had never had it before. THE SHORT RIB FRIED RICE IS PHENOMENAL!!! The chicken dumplings are soooo yummy, I craved them for a week after we had them. Grab some friends and enjoy this awesome modern Chinese restaurant

Promptly seated, the patrons were not engaged in any activities. Paige, the server, was exceptionally welcoming and courteous, providing excellent service throughout our dining experience. We ordered the chicken fried rice, green beans, chicken long bao, and spicy pork and shrimp dumplings. Each dish was delectable and reasonably priced. The restaurant exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere, featuring ample outdoor seating.

This is not your typical Chinese restaurant so check the menu if you are craving a specific dish before you come here. If there are XLBs on the menu I’m getting them so this visit to Dan Modern was no different. Coming in I was comparing everything to DinTai. The Xiao long bao’s were really good, just enough soup inside and the filling was very flavorful. We ordered the pork and pork and dungenous crab. I personally liked the pork much better. There’s five xlb’s per serving. Also ordered the spicy XLB, I was expecting them in swimming in spicy sauce but instead the filling is spicy without the sauce. I was dipping it in chili oil so not sure if the filling was super spicy or if it was my dipping sauce. I ordered the pan fried handmade dumplings but meant to order the crispy ones so I’ll have to try those the next time. Pan fried were tasty but a little oily. We ordered the short rib Dan noodles now this dish was bomb! I would definitely order this again. Shrimp fried rice was good too, good sized portion generous with the shrimp and just overall tasty. Some cons were the service was slow and not that attentive especially seeing that there were not that busy. Being that they are a new restaurant hope they work this out. Restaurant is located at the Village near 24 hours fitness closer to REI.

Didn’t order much since the serving are generous. The chicken fried rice and the short Rib Dan mien were delicious.

Contemporary Chinese restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere achieved by the friendly staff. I liked the taste, presentation and highYum! quality of the ingredients. Try the pea sprouts, salt and pepper tofu.

It is really fun that we found this place. The food is just exactly what we wanted. The soup dumplings were just right with the right amount of soup. The chicken noodle soup was delicious. The fried rice was delicious. The Boca matchas were good. All in all a great meal. Get the crispy dumpling. It is the best crispy dumpling I've ever had.
